Pranic Energy: Feel the Divinity Around You“By remembering that you are in an ocean of life energy, your life energy level will automatically increase.”
– Grand Master Choa Kok Sui
PRANA
The vital energy that keeps the body strong and alive is called PRANA. The word prana is derived from Sanskrit and is recognized by almost all cultures. It is called ki in Japanese, chi in Chinese, Nephesch in Ebreo, Esma in Catalan, pneuma in Greek, mana in Polynesian and ruah in Hebrew, which means "the breath of life".
As humans, we absorb prana both internally and externally. Our digestive and respiratory systems help us take in prana internally from the food we eat and the air we breathe. Our chakras (energy centers along our spine) and our inner aura (light around the body), on the other hand, assist in the external reception of prana.
Prana is all around us
Prana is therefore everywhere. It is all around us, regardless of our awareness or our ability to utilize it. Master Choa Kok Sui, through the basic practices of Pranic Healing and Arhatic yoga, taught many ways to be more in tune with this vital energy or prana.
Remembering certain healthy practices would not only momentarily make us more open to the potent energy of prana, but would also considerably improve the quality of our lives.
We need to remember that in everything we do, actively or passively, we are in the midst of prana. The right diet, right breathing, proper physical exercise, good relationships, etc. all increase our ability to harness the prana around us.
Therefore, it is crucial to keep our physical and etheric bodies clean and balanced. Awareness is the key to a more empowered existence. Breathing consciously every day for at least 5-10 minutes is a great way to increase our concentration and become aware within. By consciously breathing, we become more aware of the prana being absorbed into every cell of our body.
Improving our bath water with sea salts, for example, serves as an excellent cleansing system that purifies our etheric body. Through effective aura cleansing, we become more sensitive and open to prana. Pranic healing or energy healing uses colored pranas to heal various ailments. These healing systems work on the principle that healing energy or purifying prana fights the dirty energy in the affected organs to restore health and happiness.
